ROLAND LOUIS - Waterfall (RL)
Whaouh! Another ultra rare record we're very happy to have here. A very rescent find for our part, and we know this one is largely unknown, compared to the fabulous music printed here! Roland Louis is mostly known for the 7" comped not so long ago, and the percussive 12" edited by Harvey and Dimitri From Paris. This (his only?) LP, produced and distributed by Roland Louis himself, is a crazy mix of Biguine, disco and jazz. My personnal stand-out is the super catchy vocal one "Ce Tou Ca Ka Fe Nou Oublié", I can't believe it's not yet a disco dancefloor classic reissue, while "Impressions" and "En Ba Ma" will appeal to all jazz biguine lovers. Ultra rare.

SECRET FRENCH FUNK - ??? (???)
This unknown record is the rare first LP by a very famous French disco singer and contains an incredible funky gem! “The Voice Of Harlem” is a deadly euro funk a la CHICKEN CURRY: huge bassline, phat drumming and synth loop. Check the breakdown in the middle of the tune: MENTAL. It really sounds like the best from the Bennatar/Kluger crew. Maybe because ARTUR YOUNG from LAFAYETTE AFRO ROCK BAND and MARC CHANTEREAU are part of the band? Anyway, I heard here and there it's gonna be edited soon. Grab it before the hype!

SOLON GONCALVES – En Direct Des Antilles (Epic)
Like they say on Soulstrut... real headz know the deal! Virtually invisible west indies record and undercover appearance by HENRI GUEDON and ALAIN JEAN MARIE. Brillant and delicate mix of Jazz and west indies folk, with the superb voice of Winston Berkeley over it. Featuring a version of Guedon "Macuba" that just kills the original, and the whole record reach that level. Very very very sought after.

	MOSHE - Hey Ba Bare Pop! / Bongos (Stenco) Ultra obscure single from this unknown band. Where they from? We don't know too, it seems to be released in Paris. Maybe an african band? This record is in fact the super rare US version of the infamous BUD HUNGA & HIS DIPLOMATIC MUSIC LP ! It means a super loud US-style press for full effect on the dancefloor. You know the deal on this one, it's a fantastic collection of euro funk bomb: "Diplomatic Fingers", "Music In Transit", "Disturbance In The Night", "Travelling On Rhythm"... The Mohawks meet Galt McDermott in the Roland Kluger studio!

MICHEL DELAPORTE - Stoned Drums (Connection)
Ultra unknown and invisible Michel Delaporte LP on the Sonopresse sub-division (Araconga..). A true ode to drums and percussions, a sort of french NIAGARA project made with his old comrade Marc Chantereau. With the monster funky bomb "Afrobin", the deadly Shaft rip-off "Slums", a totally stripped down version, probably one of the best cover of this classic, and also the afro brasilian groove of "Mahi". Optimum loud press. Be fast on this one!

Interesting disco jazz funk LP with lot of good tracks. Standing one are the groovy disco funk of “Soul Punch”, the down tempo breaks and loops of “Night Is Blues” and finally the super loop and laid back jazz funk of “Lady Penelope”. Drummer play and arrangements are dope on the whole LP, so expect lot of sampler materials.

By far the best LP by this famous lounge hero. But wait… this LP is not lounge at all! You have here some great latin funk tunes very similar to the NICO GOMEZ style. Check the dancefloor friendly “Se A Cabo”, “Sing A Simple Song”, “Heya Masse-ga”, “Everybody's Everything”, “U-Humba”, or the superb version of “Inner City Blues”, better than the PLACEBO one ??!
