Mega rare Belgian spiritual jazz LP released on the Michel Herr label. With the fantastic uplifting track "Dualité". I never heard of any of the guys from this band, but they easily play on the same league as Raphael, Open Sky Unit or Jan Doveren.
KITTY WINTER GIPSY NOVA – Limelight Suite (Intercord)
The follow up to her holy grail first album Feel it. You still have the punchy scat and killer electric piano solos. Like the first album, this one is packed with great tracks.
The first time we have this one on the website and it's a real joy: it's clearly one of my favourite "deviant" jazz LP. The beautiful spiritual jazz music by the Chene Noir band is the perfect compagnon of the sublime text said by the comedians. A superb odyssey for the real sensitive one in you. The record has some superficial marks, causing some very minimal backing noises here and there. Strong copy.
One of the best spiritual jazz Lp from Australia. Solid from start to finish with the jazz scat madness of "Colours Of My Dream", the jazz dance of "Toledo" or the open drum break jazz funk of "Fall Down Head".
Monster jazz LP by one of the finest and more complete big band from France: (CECCARELLI, RUSSO, BOLOGNESI, GRAILLER, SANSON, GOSSEZ, CHANTEREAU..). Countless memorable moments on the tracks "Auntie Pia", "Time Square", "Secret Service" and the killer tune "Agence Cook" and its weird fuzzy guitar gimmick! Superb copy.
Super obscure Swedish prog jazz album. With the uplifting, growing climax monster jazz dance "Sambahmadu". The kind of stuff GP would put on his radio show, you know the deal. Stock copy condition.
Splendid French jazz trio, known as Chess on the library label MP2000, which is a second press. Check the two stand-out tracks "Grand Rocque" and "le massacre Du Dragon".
Mythical Australian big band. Listen to their huge cosmic jazz version of "2001", one of the best I've ever heard. And check the breakdown: that guitar lick has been sampled by DJ Shadow on his Endtroducing album.
Massive jazz funk piece! With Bernard Purdie or Idris Muhammad on drums you know you can't go wrong. Every track is a winner here, nice and sweet laidback jazz with huge breakbeats provide by the two legendary drummers. Check "Winter's Child" sampled by Funkdoobiest, or the classic cover of "Something" (HUGE breakdown by Pretty Purdie!), used on the mythical Showbiz & AG "Silence Of The Lambs" remix. With also "Wa Tu Wa Ziu" and "Zebra Walk". Give away price because of a sunburst causing some surface noises in the beginning of each side. The rest is mint. Cut corner.
From the man who brought us "Got To Get Your Own", a funky version of the Marvin Gaye classic "Inner City Blues", Used by A TRIBE CALLED QUEST. Plus some nice groovy organ tunes. UK People label press.
