HERVE ROY / THE CRAZY GIRLS – Crazy Horse Saloon (Carabine)
Carabine had the great idea to release this record, dedicated to glory of the famous parisian erotic cabaret. Front cover introduce you to the (then) beautiful Lova Moor, and the inside gatefold will let you discover some delicious ladies such as Rosa Fumetto or the incredible Miko Miku! But that's enough with luxury… musically, you have two very honest uptempo jerk with “Crazy Horse” and the disco flavoured “Crazy Lady”.

JEAN MUSY - Tribute To Ray Charles (Concert Hall )
Super nice hammond cover of famous Ray Charles tunes. Including the great re-takes of “Halleluja I Love Her So”, “I’ve Got A Woman”, “Sticks and Stones” or “You Are My Sunshine”! Listen to the extracts HERE.

J. HARBERT - Allez Lido! (M records)
Cool cabaret soundtrack with a deadly intro sounding like PIERRE HENRY & MICHEL COLOMBIER electronic jerk. LOOP!

CLAUDE CIARI – Guitare Pour Un Amour (Pathé)
Interesting set by Ciari, partialy produced by KARL HEINZ SCHAEFFER (Les Gants Blancs Du Diable), with the ready-made hip hop loop on “Un Clocher Sous La Mer ” and a quiet funky version of “Soul Makossa”.
Cover EX / vinyl EX  15

ANDRE BRASSEUR – Early Bird (RCA)
Damn.. this record slept in my crates for so long. Until I realize “I Love You” got that insane bass and drums intro and that killer breakbeat somewhere in the track. On Bside “Isle Of Paradise” is a great funky Hammond tune. Listen the extracts HERE.
Cover EX / vinyl EX  20€

EDDIE DEFACQ ORCHESTRA – Clarinette Tous Azimuts (Univers Records)
Super cheesy LP until the very nice disco funk tune "Walesa". Unknown!

JEAN LABRE / JEFF LEROUX – Philarmonica (Sonopresse)
Rare LP with the crazy cosmic disco jerk "Papilio Vanessa" and "Les GO", two sure shots on a dancefloor!

JEAN LABRE - Vol De Nuit (PSB)
I hesitated to put this one as a secret squirrel. This record simply stayed under the radar for so long. It was made by the Air France company (no, this is not an ESCALE PARTY LP with alternative cover) and is dedicated to Antoine De Saint Exupery. Musically, the whole LP is produced by JEF LEROUX (Tonio Rubio and Tony Bonfils are on bass) and is packed with killer breaks & loops, here you have a crazy HARLEM POP TROTTERS-like loop, there some dope DUSTY FINGER breaks sounding like the GATOR soundtrack or the RYTHMES TELEMUSIC LP. Listen some extracts HERE... and be quick!
Cover EX / vinyl EX  30€

STUDIO - Ecoutes En Multidimension (Aquarius)
Obscure band practicing some synth based music. Some great loops and beats for your sampler. Listen some extracts HERE!
Cover EX / vinyl EX  15€

V/A ARTISTS - Imaginations (Unidisc)
Another incredibly good school exercises LP. Between proto electro loops and crazy bugged out percussions, moogy melody and deadly piano stabs, the short tracks provided by MICHEL DELAPORTE or MARC CHANTERAU (two well known percussionists in the french jazz funk scene) are a sampling goldmine for the producers! Check the dark piano break of “Les Cloches”, “Manege” or the crazy percussive “Machines” HERE

SECRET LES TRETEAUX JANIN / PIERRIC KILLER COMP!
Whoo ! I never thought I could discover a new Les Treteaux release... until my dawg Koni Da Left Handed found this stunning rarity! This is nothing but a compilation of all the tracks Janin / Pierric did and appeared as version orchestrale on the Les Treteaux releases! You have here all the winners not available on the Eddie Driver LP: “Red Mood”, “Waouba”, “Rolly Polly”, “Walking Blue”, “Assez C'est Assez”, “Swingaboo”… and an exclusive track as a bonus: “Strings In Paradise” an its killer intro. Just essential for any fans of the duo Janin/Pierric!
Cover EX / vinyl EX   60€

ANDRE BRASSEUR – The Golden Organ Of (EMI Pathé)
Rare André LP with the dancefloor bomb “Sundance”. I love the sound of that harpsichord!
Cover EX / vinyl EX   30€

PIERRE PORTE – Bon Dimanche (Sonopress 1978 repress)
Funky orchestral pop at its best. Pierre Porte conducts his orchestra into the land of the best funky themes coming from France . Cinematic strings, brillant horns arrangement and funky rythmics: best examples are the huge musical landscape of “ It The End ” between Legrand Les Demoiselles … and Colombier Capot Pointu . “ Ganymede ” bring some dark strings and wah guitar, and the ethered female chorus really remind La Planete Sauvage or Les Gants Blancs Du Diable . Now quiet hard to locate!

V/A Artists – Escale Party (Concert Hall)
Sooo good to have this one back. One of the first record digged by the frenchattack crew. Nostalgia… Anyway, this is an essential piece of French groove, worth the price alone for the soul anthem “Hurt So Bad” by Nancy Holloway, perfectly orchestrated by Daniel Janin. Contains also the Hammond jerk version of “Venus” and “Mais Non, Mais Non”, the delicious bossa scat “Bossa Arangua”, or the more deeper “Mahi”, a superb cinematic eastern tune with huge drums and sitar, and finally another favourite of mine, the beautiful “Les Calanques”, by Claude Vasori, that also can be found on a rare MPI 10” release.
Cover EX / vinyl EX   45€

CLYDE BORLY ET SES PERCUSSIONS – Musique En 5 Dimensions (Barclay)
Good orchestra record, between exotica and typical percussions work. Many interesting moments and a quiet good mix.
Cover EX / vinyl VG- (many surface noises)  15€

V/A ARTISTS – Super Longue Duree Stereo (MGD)
Cool compilation with the three dope jerks by JEAN CLAUDE PELLETIER of Streaking fame: “Rocket Junction”, in a very blaxplo car chase veine, the killer down tempo “Bourbon Connection” and “Good Morning Ma'm”
Cover EX / vinyl VG+   20€

MIGIANI GRAND ORCHESTRE - Bravo Becaud (RCA Victor)
Super cult album by Armand Migiani. Brillant instrumental covers of Becaud songs. With “Heureusement Y’a Les Copains”, “Viens” and others, you got loads of charming female scat, bossa a la francaise and all that real french touch sound. You know or you don’t!
Cover EX / vinyl EX  30€

QUINTETTE DEDJEAN – Ambiance Tendresse Intimite (Sonopresse)
This LP by Andre Dedjean could be a good sleeper, at least a great graphic sample with this cheesy blond chick… until the last track and the great hammond jerk “Oups” I was surprised to find here! Great trumpet solo!
Cover EX / vinyl VG++  10€

EDDIE DRIVER – A L’Orgue Hammond (Les Tréteaux)
On this LP, Eddie Driver is in top form with handsome production work by magic duo Pierric/Janin. You all know “Saramina” for its great dark orchestration. But “Schout”, “Black Night” and “Run, You’ll get it” are “top of the crate” funky hammond and brass sampler’s dream...
Cover EX / vinyl VG+  15€
