THE VAMPIRES OF DARTMOORE – Dracula's Music Cabinet (Metronome)
The cultest and most famous LP out of the HORST ACKERMANN crazy and weird brain. Horrific and psychedelic jerk with monster moanin', virgin whippin' and zombie shakin' action all over the place. Essential to any euro groove collection!

GERARD MANSET – Animal On est Mal (Pathé)

One of our favourite album. The string arrangement and melodies are amongst the best you could find in a 60s french production, and the lyrics are just crazy psych nonsense. It's even more incredible when you think everything was made in the tiny Bernard Estardy CBE studio. The original press is almost impossible to find. It was untimely released in 1968 during the student riots in Paris. Fortunately, Manset got some mainstream success ten years after and EMI released this second press. Essential if you like JC Vannier kind of work!

JEAN CLAUDE NAUDE – Pop + Jazz In Comics N°2 (Blue Swan)

Killer rare exploito pop, with a totally French casting (ARVANITAS, CECCARRELLI, SANTORIO), recorded in Paris, but curiously released on a small German label. Splendid big band groove in a library kind of way. With the super tracks "Boaf", "Paw", "Gulp" and "Burp". Check the cover art too, one of the best!

THE GREEN FUTURE ORCHESTRA - Dance Dance Dance (Vedette)
Obscure Italian studio band, H TICAL appears on the credit, maybe some relation here with the BLUE PHANTOM?? Check their atomic version of "I'm A Man" and a couple of nice hammond/R'n'B covers and dancefloor tools: "On The Rocks", "What I Say" (KILLER BREAKDOWN!), "Electrified Rock", "Don't Bend Your Knees"...it looks usual, it's not!

P.COMBELLE / G.CALVI - Tarzan Seigneur De La Jungle (Pathé)
Tough to find afro psych jerk concept album. Famous for the monster track "La Danse Des Grands Singes Nus", like a French jazz version of Schifrin Ape's Shuffle, and also "Le Dum Dum Des Grands Singes".

LES IRRESISTIBLES – Remember / Greatest Hits (CBS)

Rare gatefold LP by this band composed of US teens expatriated in France. They did one album, in a Beatles-esque pop rock veine. This one is composed of hits, exclusive tracks, some singles and can be consideered as a second album, rather than a greatest hits.
