Subtitle of this release is "Contemporary Orchestral Funk", it fits quiet well, well done guys. Check the dark and beaty "Funky Black", the dreamy "Funky White", or the modern soul disco instrumental "Funky Silver".
Eric Vann AKA Joel
Vandroogenbroeck, from the mighty krautrock band BRAINTICKET, delivers here some deep progressive cosmic prog music. Listen to the moving "Sunken Galleons".
JOEL VDB / W.ROCKMAN – Contemporary Pastoral And Ethnic Sound (Coloursound)
One of the dopest from Coloursound! Killer electro rework of folk and ethno music. Check the dangerous groove of "Rocks", with HUUUGE BREAKS, or the flatulent "Raven's Dance ". With also the intringuing "Fairy Tale " and "Veridian Song".
Alessandroni goes cosmic with this evocation of the war atmosphere. Listen to the loop galore of "Dance Of Death", "Dramatic Flight", the dreamy "Lonely GI", "Massacre", "Prisonners Of War" or the fabulous proto techno "Cruise Missiles". Some surface noises.
V/A ARTISTS – Here Comes The Sound Vol.1 (Coloursound)
Cosmic sound, listen to the relentless disco of "Space Shuffle" and the killer Arpadys spacy funk of "Going West" (check the breakdown, that track need to be edited!).
Very interesting item for all of you library collectors. This advertising LP have the complete catalogue of the Patchwork label inside its gatefold. The record is composed of extracts from almost all the releases, from the dark big band jazz orchestrations of Vladimir Cosma to the adventurous electronic score of Teddy Lasry. The last release and a real testament of that very ecclectic and prolific label.
Killer one! Vladimir Cosma in soundtrack mode here with some tough sinister crime jazz action. But Michel Bernholc almost steal the show with the bizarre bongo beat of "Dramaction" and "Articulation".
VLADIMIR COSMA – Patchwork 29 / Mus...Dramatiques (Patchwork)
Mega dark cinematic music by Vladimir Cosma. Check the intense "Rixe", "SOS", "Poursuite A Istanbul", "Chevauchées Angoissantes", "Cat's Eyes". Remember the Dirty Harry scores by Lalo Schifrin? Well it's quiet close to that. One of the best from the label. No cover.
